The service

These tools are provided free of charge, as they are, with no warranty. They are built carefully and tested, but PDF is a large and messy format and some documents will not convert cleanly. Keep your originals.

What you may not do

Do not use these tools on files you have no right to. In particular, the Unlock tool removes a password you already know from a document you are entitled to open — it does not break encryption, and it will not help you open a file that is not yours.

Do not automate bulk requests against the server-side tools. Rate limits are in place and will be enforced. If you need programmatic access, get in touch rather than scripting the site.

Liability

We are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of these tools, including data loss from a failed conversion. This is a free utility, not a managed service with an availability guarantee.

These terms may change. The version on this page is the one that applies.
